Adults at Dynamic Martial Arts can choose from any of four programs, each with a different emphasis. Many of our students participate in several at a time.

Kempo Karate
For those looking for a traditional martial art practice, our adult Kempo combines the elements of physical conditioning, basic moves, self-defense combinations, kata and sparring. A style blended from both Chinese and Okinawan/Japanese heritage, it is a very effective, time-proven self-defense arsenal. In addition, the traditional benefits of mind-body integration, concentration, fitness and confidence will be yours with long-term practice. This program includes testing for rank belts periodically, leading after three or more years to rank of Black Belt.

Haganah
The Israeli Special Forces HAGANAH F.I.G.H.T. system is an exciting new program for real-world self-defense. It integrates bot unarmed and armed combat tactics currently being taught in IDF Special Forces units and applies them to the needs of civilians. True to its military heritage, this complete system teaches how to fight and win each scenario. Simple and powerful, this is a completely practical, to-the-point, straight, self-defense course — not a traditional martial art form with belt ranks etc. The teaching approach is designed to mirror military style methods while recognizing the time-demands and typical fitness levels of the working adult. This is a survival skills course for the 21st century!

Dynamic Fitness Kickboxing
For those who want a great stress-busting physical work-out that burns an unprecedented 300-800 calories an hour, this class combines a bag-slamming, sweat-pouring, all-out hour of cardio-kickboxing with warm-up and cool-down periods incorporating stretching and resistance work via the use of exercise bands and scientifically updated calisthenics. All kicking and punching techniques are worked out aerobically on water-filled, heavy bags to the beat of today’s hottest music. Not a self-defense class, this is for those who want to increase their cardiovascular capacity, release stress and burn fat fast. This work-out is also the perfect cardio complement to weight training.
